At the beginning of the year I was so lucky to have been given a joyous commission to paint a series of 3 canvases
Liquid Gold – Landscape
February is the only month it feels like Winter here in Spain as the temperatures drop quite considerably, especially at night time. The olive trees disappear under the swirly rain clouds. Then the rain begins, preparing the trees for the next crop of liquid gold.
Oil, Acrylic or Watercolour – which one do you prefer ?
The painting ‘Splash!’ was created in three media, oil on canvas, acrylic on paper and watercolour on Fabriano watercolour paper, the same image but each with a different evocative effect.
